From NLTiVo

Introduction

The OzTiVo-community created scripts to upgrade the ozTiVo images to release 1.6. The OzTiVo-scripts have been adjusted for usage in The Netherlands. The scripts are tested succesfully on TiVo's with an nlTiVo-image and they should also work on 1.4 and 1.5 OzTiVo-images. The script will upgrade the current software to version 1.6.2. A lot of features have been added in the new release.

Main improvements

The main features of this new release are:

• Endpad updated (v1.5.1)
• Tivoftpd updated
• Palmod updated
• TiVoWeb updated to TiVoWebPlus (v1.3.1, NL customized)
• Autospace 1.1 added (displays amount of diskspace in "Now playing") (disabled by default)
• Bufferhack 3.2a added (larger live buffer) (disabled by default)
• Emuproxy updated to EmuproxyZA for better proxy handling
• Added scripts to add station logo's (for future use)
• nlTiVo software update script added (remote control triggerable)
• Updated trickey-keys (see this page)
• Guided setup adjusted to contain NL-specific messages

Differences between Oz- and NL-versions

The differences between Oz- and NL-versions are:

• Localized upgrade script and image to NL
• Changed oz-mothership references to the NL-mothership
• Changed ozTiVo to nlTiVo everywhere in the image (including in TiVoWebPlus)
• Fixed timezonehandling (using patched rdate from nzTiVo)
• Changed endpad defaults (5 10 instead of 5 15)
• Adjusted the TiVo update-script (/hack/bin/update_nltivo)
• Changed resolv.conf to dutch nameservers
• Changed /hack/bin/station_logos.sh (ip-adress/location change)
• Updated versionnumber on splashscreens to v1.6 (thanks to Gostar)
